Our BWE Drilling - Drill and Blast business unit provides full production drilling and specialty blasting services across the civil and mining industries. Our range of services are all performed with minimal disturbances to the surrounding environment and construction areas.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage site-based drill and blast operations
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
Oversee personnel, subcontractors, and equipment on site
Coordinate with project personnel to meet project timelines
Manager production targets, audits, and pre-start meetings
Drive a strong safety-first culture across all levels of site team
What You Bring:
5 years experience in a similar site-based management role within a drill and blast environment
Proven track record of successful safety and people management
Proven background in managing complex projects with successful stakeholder engagement
Ability to ensure drill and blast contract requirements are clearly understood and achieved on a daily basis
Ability to produce accurate reports on people and production targets
Hold a Section 44 and Statuary S26 or working towards the exam
Hold current certificate / licences (WA Shot Firers tick, Provide First Aid Certificate, HR licence and National Police Clearance less than 6 months old)
